Maras & Moray

There are 4,500 salt wells, cultivated in their entirety by the communities of Maras and Pichingoto, which serve as economic support for the families of these two towns and that have been passed down for generations only among the people of these two towns.

There are 3 varieties produced in the wells, the first is white salt which is iodized and is sold both in local markets and nationally and internationally, the famous pink salt in gourmet cuisine that has this color because it is closer to the base of the wells and for having a greater presence of minerals in its composition, and the base of the pools used for feeding animals such as beef and lambs. This half-day tour finish at the hotel at around 3 in the afternoon.
