Rainbow Mountain

The departure time from the hotel is between 4:30 to 5 am, it is a trip of approximately 1 hour and 30 minutes until we reach the Cusipata district, where breakfast is waiting for us, a full buffet breakfast.

After breakfast, we continue the trip, this time along an off road, for 1 hour and 20 more minutes, until we reach Pulluwasipata located at 4,633 meters above sea level, the last stop of the car and from where the hike begins.

After receiving all the instructions from the guide, regarding the route and the most practical way to walk. We will begin our walk; 3.5 kilometers separate the starting point with the viewpoint of the mountain.

It is possible to hire a horse instead of doing the walk that usually take 2 hours and on a horse it takes approximately 35 minutes, even so the horse does not reach the top of the mountain you have to walk at least 30 minutes later of the ride.

Once at the top, we will have the necessary time to enjoy the unbeatable view of the place and a proper explanation from our professional guide.

Enjoy the most beautiful view of the place, such as appreciating the highest mountain in the Cusco region, the Ausangate Mountain, located at 6384 meters above sea level.

Optional if you wish, you can continue walking for 20 minutes and visit the Red Valley viewpoint, for which you need to pay an additional income of 15 soles.

The way back will be the same as the way up, with the big difference that this time it will be much easier. At the end of the visit to the Rainbow Mountain, we return by the same road to Phulawasipata to take the vehicle, with which we will return to Cusipata, this time to taste the buffet lunch. After lunch, we return to the city of Cusco and we will arrive in Cusco between 4 and 5 in the afternoon.
